As of this past December the Land and Multi-Ministry Building are paid off, we also extinguished the property lines between the existing Church property and the new property therefore we are now tax exempt from all property taxes.

·  Until the motion is approved, funds designated for the MMB-Land Fund will be placed in a Holding Account.

·  Once the motion is presented and approved at the April business meeting money in the Holding Account will be transferred to the Strategic Development Fund for future projects.

James River strives to lead the way with incredible generosity and compassion and will do everything possible to make the strongest impact on the community and the world with our resources.

God provides for the ministry of our church through your tithes and offerings and your gifts are honored with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and accountability to our lead team and denomination.

We believe the church needs to be irrationally generous and when we choose to be generous with what we have, it makes a difference, for both the individual doing the giving and the purpose it supports.

It’s more than keeping the lights on and the gears turning. It’s about personal worship to God and handing Him back what He already owns, and it’s about lives changing through the transformative power of the Gospel in our region and beyond.

At James River, we give more than 21% of our tithes and offering to support local and international mission-related work.

"The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
